Are you a quick thinker?
Logical thinking is like mountain climbing: you need clarity and concentration, and sometimes, in areas where the air is thin. Let us take a fun summit tour for your brain. Conquer Mount Everest.
Before we start the climb, some data to the mountain: Mount Everest is 8850 meters high (above mean sea level =) and rises above the Khumbu Valley in Nepal on the border with China. The western and south-east of its three ridge forming the border. In the Nepalese is the Mount Everest "Sagarmatha" and the Tibetans' Chomolungma.
On 29 May 1953 defeated the New Zealander Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay were the first to Mount Everest. 1852 was called the mountain simply "Peak XV", until 1865 they baptized in the name of the mountain Mount Everest, in honor of Sir George Everest, who was the chief of all British surveyor and acquired by the Land Surveying India's great achievements.
That should satisfy you as advance information. Now you know the mountain, can now begin the ascent. Good luck with the Mount Everest Test, the manager-magazin.de, in cooperation with Robert Griesbeck, author of "Pimp your Brain. Playful brain training for more career success," has developed.

Sample Letter To Invite Mother
Dear Eva,
last night it snowed in the mountains again. While in Mostar are not freezing, but it's icy, because the wind sweeps through the valley, the one here, "Babe = Grannies" called Wind, allegedly after a grandmother who is frozen in the sheep herding. My hope for an early spring remains the same. Unlike Berlin, where I often - perhaps influenced by scenes from "Berlin Alexanderplatz" or something - thought that the winter better fits the city and underlines its special character, Mostar has really their breath when it's cold. People want to be on the road, look good, stay up long, complaining about the heat, go to the sea, winter is best ignored. In summer the uncomfortable cold then completely forgotten and it says: Oh, yes, we have only a very short winter, ne special heating or insulation is needed but not in Mostar ...

I also think that are extremely good, regular meetings and exchanges with other for writing. Also, because it motivated to try new things, to revise texts to produce much. I know these phases in which the value of their own texts appear to be very low, they find very distressing. It inhibits then when I continued to write and that in itself is corrosive because it is missing such an important and simple, joyful part of everyday life seems to fade. As far as your lyrics, I just like the simple, unaffected language in them and very often does not lead to the banality, but clarity. But that is brooding about it and you certainly do not doubt bad: Just because it is something essential to your lyrics, it is important that you reflect about it and the border areas "Simplicity - concreteness - of course - banality" ausmisst again. Instead, I've my regular confrontations with the complexity and opacity, which takes hold of my words again and again.
Christophe Fricker When I read some similar specificity as in your poems, so I've already figured that you his Things like. I am particularly pleased that the poem is first published by him with us. Our exclusive blog ...
Best regards and thank you again soon send new e-mail texts,

Al St. John
Al St. John is in Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle's two-reelers second supporting player, next to Buster Keaton. It often has something touching, such as between the playful childish egomaniac Fatty and Buster the elegant this grossly appears in clown make-up boobies pants. Still very close to the fair is this character, every gesture seems hopelessly attracted, St. John has a little mechanical, Vorsubjektives. Shorted motion picture interconnections, where at Fatty and especially Buster Keaton already uses self-reflection. Sometimes it seems cruel, as the films deal with Al St. John. In The Cook he breaks one of the most self-dramatization Fatty and Buster (not mere reactions to given situations, but fantsamatische Productions of more or less from scratch), he does riot and is then chased by a dog through the city, while the other two eat spaghetti. The obviously well trained dog in this film pays homage to the chase almost more attention than the persecuted, who, after he escaped, one-, two jumps in the air and disappears without a trace.
Of the approximately 100 B-Western, in which St. John the "fuzzy" plays, I have, I believe, has not seen one. Only its predecessor (?) Fuzzy Knight, I discovered in some early Hathaway movies.

How Often Do You Water Kumquat Trees?
worst film of the year so far
I happen to have a Day before Biutiful Walter Salles' Motorcycle Diaries seen. Since there is about to end a scene in which Gael García Bernal as Ernesto Che Guevara swims across a river, which separates in a leper colony in the care of the patient. To the point does this at least partly amazingly smart movie at this point his idea of Che as a political figure: There is a man of the social contradictions can not completely dissolve into political action or even in analytical criteria, but they at senior moments and large bridges symbolic gestures in his body / with his body. The film has also (unlike Soderbergh's diptych) actually an idea of how this particular myth works. Maybe he has an idea that Star body make the movies like, but if so, they remain secondary.
more annoying is then the new Iñárritu, who runs with the Che films, while not strictly speaking a name, but which creates a relationship between body and politics, of course, not even any reflexive, making sure even the hand-held camera, the anticipatory , over beating (and added: technically brilliant) assembly, the connections that some textures and gestures with the feed into the organic world of sound rooted music. Two and a half hours of film projects (for which everything always just have to be there, just felt, image, color motion as the equivalent of emotion, which he forces the viewer gently but firmly to) the misery of the world = globalization = the West = the time history back to the Franco dictatorship Javier Bardems Star Bodies, the expiration code exactly thick on their faces are painted, including the bursting forth known features are not distorted, but are all the more better. attached as an additional contrast film around him: Seedy locations, non-white skin color, suitable for non-Hollywood faces. Star Cinema of the most offensive variety, racist, reactionary, much worse than Babel .

How To Input Cheats For Gpsphone
love Sibylla,
for the two versions of your poem. I like the way alternating deep and light and heavy thoughts are so dynamic. I especially like the real start with the hair and the half-moon fingernail. This is funny with the egg, but perhaps something intentional. You speculate, too, how did you get it well ... I managed to find the translation, there is nothing lost and the last line sounds even round. To title-translation, I'm not sure - "going" better than "traveling", which is too restrictive - perhaps would be "On the Road" or "Moving" is also a possibility.
Our last commentary, the poem by Christophe Fricker, I like it very much. I like the mixture of concrete scenery, short stories and original descriptions. Place and feeling are well understood. I would still want to sit again in a diner in America. Although adventure and freedom can turn a stranger and alone in misery quickly, even without rain.
In my own Texts I have just a pretty self-critical, frustrated phase. I think there is a lack of a consistent style, and much remains superficial and arbitrary. Give me impressed by their own words too quickly. One reads so well with their own ulterior motives always. Often can not decide whether something is good simply, in terms of concrete, or just simply is unimaginative. In that respect I lack the critical exchange that we had in the writing course.
Greetings from the frigid but sunny Berlin,
your Eva

giftedness is not necessarily an IQ over 130
whiz .... Austria.
Should gifted are taught in separate schools or classes? That depends on the student, says the Center for Gifted (ÖZBF). But also on the residence of the student, for their own schools or classes for gifted traits exist only in Vienna, Mödling and now in Wels. Gifted education in Austria is not uniformly applied. In Salzburg, there is a contact person at each school, in the other provinces as teachers and parents at least in each province, a coordinator of gifted education available.
Individual schools offer some more activities: Olympiads, competitions, project work. is in regular classes, but done little to promote, criticized the ÖZBF. Exercises must be "regularly and systematically" take place in order to access. And above all, should not be simply giftedness moored on IQ. For the "old" definition of giftedness that is simply a higher IQ than 130, rejects the ÖZBF. "Between the values 120 and 130 hardly noticed a difference," says Claudia Resch. Teachers should therefore not due an IQ test support, but just in case.
Practical Tips
gifted children should not simply get more work imposed, but other tasks. Be practical about the "revolving door model, which leaves the students from time to time, the classroom, either in classes in higher grades, attend or to work in the library. Also open tasks that can solve each student individually different, are recommended. Some teachers include gifted students with a "contract" are defined in the objectives and framework.

How To Clean Yourself After Going To The Bathroom
lousy weather and Elmo's in Durham
notes on a soaking wet envelope
It is raining outside crotchety. The city with
the amputated arms
Can not roll up his trouser legs.
The water lies on the lawn.
some point there's only way home.
But I'm alone in my dinner.
The vegetables are today depends,
The soup of the day is fate.
The bill is the same with the food, as it would
tooth for a tooth. Outside
me soon passes the recalcitrance. The wet
next traffic light make himself important.
The cyclist believes he would have a chance.
I agree to a chorus,
only internally, of course, and urge
That will be all better tomorrow.
Christophe Fricker has from 2006 2010 in Durham, North Carolina, lived and taught German. Elmo's was his favorite restaurant. His poems "The beautiful eyes of the beholder" was published in 2008 in the publishing house J. Franck in Berlin. Fricker's book appeared in 2009, "Larkin Terminal", a collection of 12 portraits of people and places on different continents. Christophe Fricker launched in January 2011 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a poetry workshop for students of Germanistik.

A gifted with Burnout
Michael "Grosi" Grossenbacher: added "The Burnout strengthened me "
a burnout, a new solo program and the end of Bagatello: Michael" Grosi "Grossenbacher a turbulent period behind it. The comedian was devastated three years ago by the disease. Now he has made the withdrawal and processed his experiences in his new show "therapy".
Michael "Grosi" Grossenbacher feeling good again. Very good indeed. Although he looks a bit pensive, while his Experiences of the last three years tells. From the hyperactive "Grosi" from Bagatello times hardly be felt. The humor he has not lost. He smiles while conversation again and again, taking the mickey out of himself and is happy that things have changed for the better. "I live for the moment," he confirmed, "and take me and the world is not as serious as before." For the former workaholic, a non-simple way, but for him is clear: "I never want to return to the point where I was before June 2009".
The cycle began more than three years. At that time Michael Gross was also known as "Grosi» even with the Berne a cappella troupe Bagatello road, which should be resolved in late 2009. The 37-year-old said that with him at a young age and was a whiz at the same time attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), respectively. "This combination made me think, and always quick facts link, so fast that I no longer mentally eventually came along," he says. The comedian could never relax, "read a book or just see far", which was impossible for him. He worked 18 hours a day, the fatigue, he outwitted with Power Naps - and was proud to be "everything to create, to do everything." No time for friends and warnings remained around him admit he did not want. Many people turned away. "When my son came into the world, of course I needed more mental energy," Gross out further and lowers his gaze. Although it does not always seem easy, "so it is important for burnout sufferers speak openly about the suffering."
Caught in a spiral
The symptoms were getting worse. A tireless entertainer hit mistakes, had dizzy spells, walked in his sleep and had to struggle with breathing problems. There were also an "extreme" forgetfulness and physical exhaustion. "I did not know the simplest things, my voice broke and I could not promise to keep my partners." When he was hit by the end of 2007 tables Pfeiffer glandular fever, the disease weakened him further. "I was aware of the seriousness of the situation, hoping for a miracle. But it was as if I had wanted to fight a high-rise building with a fire extinguisher. "The spiral is spinning ever faster.
In 2008, Gross began to work on his solo project. Almost a year later, in June 2009, things changed. "I brought my son to bed and watched him as he slept peacefully. I was aware that he has only one father and that I the bin. "
That same evening decided" Grosi "to put his current project on ice. 25 already booked appearances were canceled. The relief was great, reports the Berner, "then I cried for three days." After this brief respite Grosi would go on with again, "but my business partner TJ Gyger has stopped me." After the first boom Grossenbacher fell further and further into a black hole. "My confidence was destroyed. I did not, for example, when and if I can cross a zebra crossing. Then I began a three-month therapy. "There had once confident comedian learn to live and the high Demands on themselves to place and free time to enjoy without feeling guilty.

The show offers a "glimpse into the deepest depths of the soul," promises Grosi and smiles, "but I will not tell you what authentic and what is invented. "

failure of a gifted
Armin Opherden deals in his novel with very smart people
"This will be determined later, once a professor," says the senior citizen with a critical view of the stroller. Of Anthony is only a few months old, but already the "intellectual eye" that interpret the people around him as giftedness.
Four Anton years can already write the first words and classify traffic signs. As a school child, he is bored because his classmates are still cramming the basics, while he deals with complex mathematical formulas. And yet he finds himself 30 years later, not in the classroom before his students again, but on the sofa next to his wife - made from packed working day of a clerk.
As the protagonist "Anton was not a professor" from the novel it wash many people, says author Armin Opherden. The Monheim wants to sharpen its reader's eyes to the subject of giftedness. Because that was already confined to him early. So much so that the IT project manager at a telecommunications company sat down and wrote his 156-page novel.
"It's a shame that the potential of these people are not exploited. The company is so valuable, something lost, "says the 46-year-old. Blame is the school system, which was set "only on the average." "Nerds on both ends have a hard time."
story is fictional, but there are parallels to the author
Opherden speaks from experience. Although the story was "pure fiction", parallels between him and Anton, there is real. He was shunned in his school by classmates was because he "was different". "Children can express the very brutal," he says. Today, he also saw in the context of his two daughters (19 and 23 years old) potential, which would be overlooked by teachers.

"Teachers too are the victims of the school system. It lacks the capacity to respond individually to students. "Ground clearance give it in the classrooms. "Even if the whole thing purely economic terms, the state makes a big mistake: Several thousand people could be more successful structure, thus the economy," says Opherden.

Inserting A Png Into Autocad
love Eva,
yesterday I found a sad-funny poem of mine that also fits with our blog theme. It is several years old, unfortunately undated.
driving
we move on we leave
a hair of a small half-moon fingernail
always take a piece of us
we and our
lose to places people do not dream the
are portable so we are scattered
like salt on a hard boiled egg
Why just like salt on a hard boiled egg? Was that just a small joke or was I thinking something? And the egg is peeled at all yet? This question has me seriously, but I do think! Who sprinkled salt on an unpeeled egg? Perhaps because of the picture because grains of salt to take peeled eggs always such a strange glassy appearance, so that each individual is emphasized? Maybe it was an associative connection the lexical level of "scattered" to "Salt Shaker" ...
I would just think that's why it comes to grains of salt and hard-boiled eggs in our absent-mindedness to different places and people but in the end gives the whole thing and sweet! For demonstration purposes
I do I, translated into English, how do you find the version?
Going (Travelling?)
we go further we leave behind
a hair a little half-not-moon fingernail
always a bit of us
we go and loose ourselves
to places persons dreams Which are
portable so we are soon scattered
like salt on a hard-boiled egg

IFF Rotterdam 2011: in passing
Gesher, Vahid Vakilifar, 2010
toilet cleaning in real time, then a dip in the sea. Three men live together in a narrow tube of many, in addition to a gigantic industrial park on the sea coast eye will be. A man cleans toilets (and sits then on the tube and looks out to sea, promised last he can not his desire), is one driver (and begins gently a mimicry of his boss, becomes a social chameleon) works, the third in an anachronistic Factory of heavy industry (and stuffs a large part of the few bills that he deserves, in soft toys, which he can then send his family). Even the first setting (filmed from inside a car through the windshield) provides much of the hardness of proletarian existence in Iran, the hardness is then formulated in a broader credible, perhaps most impressively in a race, for the members of Iran's chicken coop (Aravind Adiga: The White Tiger ) are initially carted in trucks to a Lehmwüste where they carry then over hills and rocks a senseless course.
Yogera, Yes! That's Us, 2010
moves the film collective from Uganda in big steps towards cinema festival. Was the first film Divizionz (Forum 2008) still quite sui generis in a technically crude, wild mix of music video, gangster film and social commentary and plenty of incommensurable with the operation, in which he came on, it now goes in the direction of Criterion, both in terms of subject (deaf and dumb girl from the village comes into the city under the wheels) and in terms of form (melancholy tinkling on the soundtrack, when the deaf-mute girl stumbles through the streets). Yet the result is anything but slick, but one has any idea that what is at Yogera more interesting (for example, the gangster story, which extends over again in the main plot and then suddenly without explanation disappears), in which next project will also be sanded off. The African cinema, it had always been difficult and remains in the digital age is precarious, crushed between Nollywood mass production and the aesthetics of the UNESCO global Arthausklischees.
Another Occupation, Ken Jacobs, 2011
Ken Jacobs uses his strobe series continues with another masterpiece. Starting material is a short segment of a travel film from the colonial period (from Bangkok, I think the catalog is unfortunately not only plays any useful information, the Internet, I can raise nothing). The film is structured on a linear, directional movement through space, until (I think) it is the movement of a ship, then a train. Jacobs translates the movement into a real phantom movement and the central perspective as it were, increased representation of space (the complex mechanical camera / rail korresponidert with the colonial military apparatus, the soldiers stand for the camera lane and keep the oppressed out of range) into the representative principle caving phantom space. Perhaps Another Occupation Jacobs is a response to Avatar .
The Last Buffalo Hunt, Lee Anne Schmitt, 2011
The last wild buffalo herds in North America were settled in Utah, of all places in an area that occurred in the animals not historical. The population, their natural enemies have died or how they themselves were exterminated, is controlled by hunting. Old men (and a particularly hard to bear middle-aged woman who likes abknallt in Utah or rare African animals, but not so happy camps "and would otherwise be very happy day in the mall) stage during this hunt as a last true americans alive, of course, they are no longer involved in the exploitation of a continent, they only use a service and pay . The organizer Terry speaks at least as much about the business aspect of his job as about his longing for nature and adventure.
Lee Anne Schmitt continues with her California Company Town begun historiographical project. Again, it's about a search for clues in the desert to get out of time fallen remains of past struggles. The last Buffalo hunters are the inheritors of a movement of expansion, destroyed the animal races and tribes. These heirs are now living in a kind of self-imposed reserve and look for the lost frontier. Frederick Jackson Turner is quoted, the myth of America is dissected on a living object, and haunts his culture industry branches - the last picture is from Las Vegas. The images of the dying buffalo have an intrinsic value in all the rises and falls do not not want.
Kommander Kulas, Khavn, 2011
A piano not only plays, but also sings old love songs, also at some point starts to burn. Twelve songs, twelve o'clock in between passages of a colorfully dressed man on a water buffalo by rigid settings and twelve monologues of "lost heart" that look as if they had sprung from a SM-performance, voice and Körüer diverge. Khavn samples the own (poems, novels, mythology private) and foreign (old hits, Western and horror film industry) material, it pressed into a rigid structure and possible call the result a film. Well it's there, the Khavn.
Nainsukh, Amit Dutta, 2010
After the great The Man's Woman and Other Stories a mean disappointment. A biography of the artist in an artistic and never arragnierten conventional panels, which looks great, but it never comes alive, at least not for philistines in terms of Indian art history like me. The secrets that contains the film, is something for philologists, even the decryption would feel it, can not be attributed to any present. The extraordinary pictorial talent is evident in every frame, but I very much hope that this Indian Parajanov the next time venturing further out into the world.

What To Watch Out Forwhen Pregnant
IFF Rotterdam 2011: Reign of Assassins, Su Chao Bin, 2010 Rotterdam IFF
two separate parts of a rotting corpse hidden must unite again, who wants to be ruler of the Martial World. The glossy black body must be owned at the shiny black upper body, this idea is primarily a eunuch and clan chief. The entire body would also be his body (including Mustache) again complete. At twelve he was sent to the convent and emasculated since bow he lives a double life as a low-ranking monk, he must be in front of small boys, as the clan chief, he wears a mask and hystericalises the Martial World and its transcendental body modification induced normal. Barbie Hsu makes him additionally as a feisty love interest vapor. Zeng Jing
other hand, wants to get out of the Martial World, the only work by means of body transformation. Insects eat her face (which by Kelly Lin) from the inside out, they get a new one, a few years older (the Michelle Yeoh). The body memory has been preserved, no one cuts faster radishes and more accurate than the former assassin. But it is not the only one that has transformed her body. The Martial World and the two parts of the rotten corpse they can not escape for long. In Hong Kong, not just psycho-sexual action films shot; the request must also directly accessible and visible on the physical, react upon the construction of the world, it must attract not only effects, but after the physical correlates.
Reign of Assassins , a rather medium-sized fantasy action movie without all the biggest stars and the very worst budget has, in some respects like the first real John Woo film since Mission Impossible 2 , despite the fact that the master Credited only as a producer and co-director appears. The man who wrote the movie and staged all responsibility was to me until now completely unknown. No matter how you want to determine the author instance, it has its film fully under control. Something I got from Hong Kong not seen in a long time: a thoroughly experienced, certainly in the genre traditions enshrined production (traditional in such good shape that some almost a little dated, because seems to care) - while an inspired, beautifully free storytelling essay on body politics and the constant reinvention of the self that continued writing his own biography.

2011: Arrested, Adolfo Alix Jr., 2010
Another Filipino Spatial analysis. The entire film is set in a women's prison, only one set shows (probably) the door from the outside (because it hangs a poster of an anti-drug campaign: "Fix the Fixers"). Inside the gate there is at first glance a lot of freedom. Large parts of the film play out of the little shacks. The women are huddled together, but relatively freely in the yards, at a bathing place (a very nice sequence), between the clothes lines. The state power is merely the careworn, scarred face of a guardian, otherwise create the prisoners their own hierarchies. They are led by two old women, one enterprising Patron and a former star actress, who began her career by selling, drugs. The only major story arcs in this almost entirely of small, everyday situations of imaginary film deals with a fictional film shooting is in jail and a pardon request from the former movie stars.
Presa is a beautiful film, but unfortunately he does not look as good as chassis. Debt that is unfortunately in many small peripheral cinematography has become standard for sub-HD digital image that hardly seems to have an aesthetic intrinsic value and characterize almost all of its shortcomings in comparison to the celluloid material can be: less expressive Opportunities, less depth, uglier edges, more artifacts, and so on. The biggest problem perhaps is that with digital technology, almost everything automatically just looks half-way tolerable, that the need for representation can be satisfied with little effort. other needs have become heavy. Here, Alix looks quite at his mise-en-scene, he only works clearly have a machine that leaves him in forming aesthetic little room to maneuver. Nevertheless, the film is
especially interesting from an institutional perspective. Alix seems to be a position in the Philippine cinema to take, which I did not know until now that they are there: He turns on the edge the mainstream small social realist films with stars (in this case with many stars). How are the films exactly in the market, I can not estimate, there are also some oddities, for chassis features such as a production company responsible, which, absurdly, called "Happy Gilmore Productions. The possibility of a Sandler-Alix-Connection I would like to learn more ... In any case, the end credits of the emblems of European free support institutions, in which one in Rotterdam may otherwise be difficult to save. More than any others, formally more daring films, the two beautiful works by Alix allow a glimpse of a Nationalkinematografie on the move, one that suddenly appear in the new images for the social self-understanding and cracks.

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Ashes of Time Redux, Wong Kar Wai
Two slow zoom on the face of Maggie Cheung dominate the end of the movie (if it is still a film to mind). That should be the genuine desire pictures that I never buy from the movie in my life. If they represent a desire, then for the last residue of longing for a world in a watercolor moved into Pixelbrei. The zoom would be enough to draw something, not one woman in particular, is so no matter how the man who desires her, but a reflection of skin, muscle movement that can physically recognize sympathize, can. But it would help anything that wins watercolor, Maggie Cheung turns again and again in their own pop-art screen printing, cut the man out of the canvas and hanging in a museum.
A strange, absurd film whose existence I can not explain. Downright brutal it feels like Wong Kar Wai's own images to break something, zukleistert, emptied, as he cuts the ribbon at the world with as much determination as unthinking gesture. (Not that the new film entirely without charm, there are some nice fetish scenes and dramatic lighting, but just actually seeing the panoramic shots from catastrophic). Somehow this is the final reification of the visual - pictures, the referential not only for its object, but equal to be alienated from themselves - but then the question arises, what is economically (and character-economic). The step in the direction of video art is not consistent enough, the voice-over narration turns still back each color blob in the narration, while Ashes of Time Redux works as a genre film - in fact at all: as a movie - just yet not at all.

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Love in a Puff, Pang Ho-Cheung, 2010
The very opposite of the current Romkom-stylish, nostalgic melodrama Merry-Go-Round . Even more surface films from Hong Kong. IFF Rotterdam 2011: 13 Assassins, Takashi Miike, Japan
If the woman, the villain of the limb has been cut, finished her story told and the motto of the entire movie: "Total Massacre" (literally, I think more like "all die") with a posted mouth clamped pen on a piece of paper, turns the chief assassin's head slightly to one side and begins to laugh softly. He has, he said then, finally found a reason to die.
Of course, the scene so far conventionally than to call some classic categories of the samurai film. But why is wrong with her yet. The entire film is conventional, which we read everywhere, as if he had anything to say so, as could not be a conventional story seriously. Of course, Miike does not take anything seriously, but if the Fießling says: "the stupid way is more fun" and thus open eyes in the direction of enemy, and nearly one-hour bloodbath marches then that is not only self-reflexive wink and play with the audience expectations, the man remains in character. Like the fold-and expressionless white surface of this face at the end of a mud-and blood mask placed receives and thanked then for their murders, giving him the most exciting day of her life have given (even before he is childishly excited because he pain and anxiety can feel) that is above all a powerful genre moment, as a coda to a spectacular, sprawling in all directions combat sequence. This battle sequence in turn is a catalog of martial action film, its motives, its spatial logics, its pathos forms, especially great is a nightmarish episode decentered, angled shots in which the unit composition thoroughly out of joint.
13 Assassins is a rich film that has the classic cinema also learned how little scenes and minor characters can give eigenvalues, which they did not in the high-concept blockbusters, can still win in a genre modernist formations. Also great is just for example, like Miike introduces the main setting for the film, a remote mountain village, which reminds a little of the actual town of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai . The local clan chief offers to the samurai, that if she left him for a few gold pieces, quiet the entire village may burn. "We will build it again just afterwards." He later sold young women from the village as a prostitute in the sexually voracious forest warrior (if Miike is not a true figure, there has never been one). As all women are tired, take the wood sprite is equal to the clan chief, itself.
13 Assassins is a fascinating mix of genre conservatism and innovation, an author of film through and through. Me that the (not always well received in Venice) film has so impressed, may also be because I could see him in the first time outside of Japan submitted in full version (144 minutes). Miike himself told in a video message the demonstration that the film is in this version much more miikeesque. But when should have been cut out for international markets really just the best 25 minutes I can explain with the best will, like Tarantino and his colleagues have calculated this epic prefer Somewhere .

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Chassis, Adolfo Alix, Jr., 2010
Again, a young Filipino director ... Adolfo Alix has indeed already made a number of films (16 according to Wikipedia, probably not all are listed, five of work in 2010, some of them apparently commissioned work within the industry without too much self-interest) knew, I now only its segment Manila, a fairly straight remake of Lino Brocka Jaguar, which I found at that time not so interesting. chassis but is a very, very beautiful film. In the quiet, unassuming black and white settings (the contrast between the pale glare of Tagszenen and blocks of black metal and dark skin into the illuminated night scenes), I felt at home immediately.
Alix 'film picks up on something more conventional, more conservative way, the aesthetic and narrative elements of neo-realism, as it does Mendoza. Far less is about the energetic evocation of individual situations, there is instead a subtle stylization the world of the film moves a bit in the distance. The script is simple, austere, straightforward, clearly interested in categories such as motivic coherence. But the writer characterizes logic is just not in every scene.
For as the Mendoza-films is also chassis from one place, not a story. Almost the entire film takes place on the pitch of a transport company. The place that brings the Filipino economy going, is also a precarious habitat. The families of truck drivers live on the premises, directly under the trucks, since then two, three square meters of cardboard on the floor, a hammock is stretched, lying beside a few clothes, a canister of water and more than two or three other things. The women defend themselves against their misery, and above all, try it - away from the body - in spite of prostitution as a additional income and extorted sex with the guards. The main character Nora (played by Jodi Sta. Maria, a professional actress whose most impassive face imparts to the film, almost like a stamp) deals with the schooling of their daughter, she tinkers her angel wings and hopes long, they send you on a trip to. Alix constructs the community in the parking lot to an organic way, not as an explication obvious oppositions such as poor / not so poor, male / female solidarity / mutual oppression.
When Nora has sex with her husband or a suitor, it represents only a small cardboard wall in front of a passage between two containers. When she first does, the camera is only before the passage when she visited. Then she picks up the paper and the man, the camera now moves ahead of them and they enable a close with the couple.
There is still a dramatic escalation, but which is really nothing more than that: a culmination of what was created in the first, quasi-documentary film half earlier, the update of a potential of (sexual) violence. There is nothing in this film, no subplot, no single setting that could not be tied back to the place from which the movie takes its output.

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Merry-Go-Round, Clamento Cheng Sze-Kit / Yan Yan Mak, 2010
Two women, a return to a young one old, independently of one another from San Francisco back to her hometown of Hong Kong. Once there, cross over by threads of fate, the boy - perhaps - a new, the old woman - perhaps - a lost love. In Merry-Go-Round , an independent, but why not cheaply produced melodrama from Hong Kong, whose emotional images have me besieged until I was at the end so far, even still love to her at first sight, essentially false glitter, are all all the figures on the body and / or soul sick, broken, ill. Behind each set (oddly enough in English) Indie-pop ballads, behind images that flicker and vibrate for sheer polish, love the lens flare, which are pastel colors if you want to say past behind before gently moving camera draped tulle appear when you leave the film only time, real feelings. Merry-Go-Round returns do not always stylish lined diverted to the bittersweet Hong Kong romances of the nineties, some of which fell with some very good (not only In the Mood for Love but Hong Kong Love Affair , Kitchen and so on). Of course there is always a very direct, and perhaps clumsy way to "cinematic" correlates searched for feelings, but that has never bothered me. The smart cynicism in many American and European films, love is much worse. What the Hong Kong film-making really is that they zerdehnen the retained desire and the compensating pain, over the span of a film, each scene, innerdiegetisch for decades, all biographies, or, as in the case of Merry-Go-Round , even of all generations. Inevitably, the films have problems if close to the time of scissors and one of the two partners do not be late in the wrong place. In the American Romance (as there is of course a great tradition, today it has probably on television shifted in the sitcoms and teen soaps) the re-updating of love is inevitably the vanishing point, the happy ending may be a cliché to be, outwardly, it is the movies never in Asian cinema, there is, I believe, a different structure, one in which the worlds of the two lovers fall into each other just never quite allowed, because otherwise the film is not only simply, but would be broken.

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Images of a lost city, Jon Jost, 2011
cinephile Gossip. was kidnapped ten years ago by her mother, the Portuguese director Teresa Villaverde, - Quite unexpectedly, the film ends with a dedication to the daughter of the director, which - which claims the dedication. Wikipedia is not much more credible, Although there are more details , but no references, more (also the film) there are on Jon Jost's blog and in a press statement . Before Imagens de uma cidade perdida I had not seen a film by Jost, of Villa Verde I still know nothing. Imagens ... Lisbon is a portrait and very great. Based
has Jost 1996/97, when he lived in the city, because of the Villa Verde and other private problems (in the Q & JJ), he has ventured out shortly before the festival at the intersections. The film is shot with one of the first digital cameras, which were freely available. Imagens de uma cidade perdida sees incredibly well made, certainly in comparison with today's Stadarts digital cinema productions. Jost seems the new technology to have dominated at first, some settings look the way I imagine colored Lav-Diaz movies, the color is not exalted, does not add vitality, it is more like something Anesthetic above it all. Often the compositions are off center slightly, some pictures are taken, the spatial orientation is difficult (especially one in a street cafe, which opens on sonbderbare way to the city
The graininess of old celluloid (or more accurately. Of the 16mm material had worked mainly with the Jost to mid 90's) is not fully disappeared - as in the ugly look of the HD-present - but transformed into a different, coarser, harder, but not necessarily less beautiful kind of texture that occurs between the viewer and gently Süjet.
Most settings are static and take relatively long. In most cases, narrow, steep streets, cobbled squares, people and small groups of people in Lisbon historic center. No fixed mounting structure, but some patterns are repeated: View of a street / intersection on a different subject / view of the road from a slightly shifted perspective. Occasionally, the camera starts to move, mostly passive. Shut off is anything anyway, but Jost cuts not the reactions of passers-by to discover the camera away. As a result, actual production unobtrusive writes in the film itself. The Biographical remains, except for a brief moment outside. Used sparingly to Portuguese music and references (such as Fernando Pessoa). Two extended scenes show how a cobblestone will be tapped, which is perhaps a picture that makes the film of his own making, as sounds and images arranged and finalized. A very pleasant, in no way intrusive film Imagens de uma cidade perdida . Jost I would now like to see more. By Teresa Villaverde, of course.

IFF Rotterdam 2011 Hot as Hell: The Deadbeat March, Yosuke Okuda, 2010
A good-looking no-budget gangster film that is sloppy in the program text (even the summary is wrong) vague and unnecessarily brought with Johnnie To and the name Tarantino. For several strands accumulated stupidity compounded by stupid coincidences leads close to the abyss and the only reason then return to everyday life, because in any case is pathetic. "You're not even deserve to be killed" is the name for Ippei Yamada, as well: back to day job, read water meters and monitor water flow in faucets. In ten years perhaps beckons to seniority. Condescending the look of the film is still never Ippei. There are no civil or glamorous (the top gangster who emerges is even a little bit smarter than the other and his Takeshi Kitano-attitude-placed fear), this scrap outside world, at least none that would be desirable.
You do not have any turn of this admittedly in its humor but join something Tarantino-ridden first film to realize that no one is demonstrated. The humor is never against the social realist moment, as a genre film it all works, but irgedwie too, but in miniature, in meetings and conversations in pubs, for example, refers Hot as Hell to himself as the lost you are lost-to theatricalise look, conceal, as is also seen time and again against each other in one another and how it can still be no community narrative, because would the communication and other means just not for solidarity, drinking the over the joint and cokes to go out, be enough: Always include the short scene, but already in the enthusiastic greetings and farewells to feindet embarrassed so much more intelligence than in the film world and slick handling Cinema Festival, in which one unfortunately in Rotterdam is not certain. Since building a version of the building blocks of a world he knows, a pointed and a bit into the cultural imaginary moved them together.
It takes a while before Ippei ever first appears. Before bringing the two dumbest of all, the eternally zugekoksten Tetsuo and Saburo, the thing going. Is wonderful, especially the scene where the two (like the other very decidedly non-actors) are waiting in the car on a deal, of course, will go wrong and bawl during which a strange pop song / nursery rhyme (?). Yosuke Okuda Mise en scene can also be the most bizarre grimaces Saburos and the wildest Gehampel can not bring calm. Succeeded, the film is also why: Because it should not be available Büdget as an excuse for taking silly pictures, because it neatly resolves his scenes, because you realize in what kind of world the characters move and how they relate to her. Okuda himself also has a central role, his character appears, from all the most authentic. And she caught it at the end of the worst.

IFF Rotterdam 2011: Story of Wong Fei-hung, Part 1: Wong Fei-hung's Whip That smacks the Candle, Wu Pang, 1949
the one movie I did not miss it, I was fortunate to be able to see on the second day: Wu Pang's founding text of modern martial arts cinema, the first feature film, the professional martial artist occupied while on physical credibility put in the action sequences value.
A nice film is the first part of the longest movie series ever as well. Wu Pang sets a lot of cultural tradition into the picture at the beginning of a dragon dance great detail later then a somewhat slippery dirge, with as much detail, with grundsympathsicher seriousness is presented as a traditional Kung Fu craft, but at the same time developed a dynamic yet robber pistol that is interested in ethics and other moral categories only as a catalyst. According to the tradition-conscious beginning open very soon, the trap doors, staircase railings are discarded them, licking snakes. In between, beautiful Hong Kong Romance: Augenklimpern, flirting, to-the-door listening, even bondage in brothels could admire the late forties in the cinemas of the colony already.
interesting figure Panorama, even the cannon fodder in the supporting roles has individuality, and not only in the facial hair, Kwan Tak-hing has been in the first of 99 movies as the old master that has his guys under control and also has an exposed woman's leg more than a little bit of stumbling ("Let's agree to be like father and daughter "Osae). The battles themselves are indeed appropriate pace, and even here not even entirely sure filmed functional, they can their choreography but still not hide too well, some looks from out correctly after Kung-Fu show tournaments such as the roll as complete when the ground . go
Despite all show values as above all a narrative economy, as in the cinema has long since everything is (not least because I adore so many TV series). In 72 minutes, two complete, independent of each other pretty stories to tell. That the film has similarities to the serial production of Hollywood can be seen even before the brazen Cliff Hanger, which refers to a second part, which I, have to fear, to wait much longer to be Hong Kong as the movie audience 1949th

caution in intelligence tests
Un- Measurable: Why intelligence tests such as IQ scores should be treated with caution.
The dictionary defines a Latin derived word intelligence (Note: "inter" means "between", "casual" for "select read ',' intel casual" to "understand" for) a particular mental ability and prudence. However, what was meant by the term and will remain vague, since, neither could the various scientific Disciplines in recent years to agree on a common definition, nor are the researchers one that can be made by intelligence tests actually measure.
intelligence-age
It was the Frenchman Alfred Binet, who is considered the founder of psychometrics, the theory and methodology of psychological measurement, developed in 1905 jointly with the physician Theodore Simon, a method to the mental capacity of children measured. Commissioned by the French Ministry of Education to identify special education students, they created tasks that had to be accomplished at a certain age. Divided by age group, was, inter alia, the ability to distinguish left from right or make a meaningful set of words was checked. The result was the so-called "intelligence age." The more tasks a child from a higher age group managed, the higher the "intelligence age" and vice versa. The German psychologist William Stern was 1912, the "intelligence age" in relation to age and thus created the term "intelligence quotient."
Since the abbreviation "IQ" for some scientists now exercised equally indiscriminate in the use of language is such as "BMI" (body mass index) for physical condition, some test procedures now take other values-lines approach. More than a hundred years after Binet there - similar to the definition of intelligence - while also no standard intelligence test in order to elicit the quotient. They range from the "analytical intelligence test" over the "Cattell Culture Fair III" to the "performance review system" and many more.
As different methods, they have in common besides the division by age one: you are assessed using various tasks in the form of numbers, letters or rows of figures, the spatial, mathematical, linguistic and logical thinking skills and imagination. On the test bench here are characteristics such as concentration and processing capacity. That is, the ability to solve complex tasks. Just as there is no uniform method for calculating the IQ, the scales are not standardized.
American scales, for example, beyond an IQ of 200 and are not comparable with Europe. Not only for this reason, often also incorrectly bandied IQs should be treated with caution. Still, despite differences of standard it has become to the average of the population of a 100 IQ to go out with a fluctuation band of plus-minus 15th An IQ of 70 or below is classed as mental retardation, an IQ of at least 130 as giftedness. Only an estimated 2.2 percent the population have such an IQ
gifted
Those who show their talent via test can become a member of Mensa. The middle of the last century, founded in the United Kingdom Association of Mensa International, currently has 110,000 members from a hundred countries worldwide. In Germany there are about 9000, according to association members, are in Austria, 570th Who extends far beyond the average - IQ 160 - can join the "Prometheus Society, which comprises about one hundred members.
Whether intelligence is but also what measures of intelligence test, "as written on the" Mensa "homepage is is up to them. Online there are numerous sites that offer free trials and are under an hour to complete. And there are deals to measure in 90 minutes or more to provide one hundred euro a chance in the undefined numbers.

And there are deals to measure in 90 minutes or more to provide one hundred euro a chance in the undefined numbers.

essay on the high sensitivity

"High Sensitive?"
How many different voices and opinions, I can think of only this single term.
"Are you kinda crazy or something?"
"They think well, they are something special!"
"Did I ever heard."
"There will probably sneak someone benefits!"
"Oh dear, Poor you. How long do you have that already? "
" In life one must not be so sensitive, otherwise go under, "
" Oh, mimosa, you must always treat you with kid gloves. "
" Is it curable? "lead
These examples further away, is the fantasy left one each self
One might immediately try to refute them, call to meet them. No, no, no, that easy and flat rate is not, but it would perhaps past our complex reality, even and especially if we start from a purely subjective reality, that is the point of view and life experience of each individual.
And so it remains of course, every one left to themselves, to form his own opinion on the subject. Initially, the following facts:
- For high sensitivity is not a subjective state, but a proven investment, amounting to a partially meaningful and useful.
- It is not a disease of body or mind, but a completely natural variation, such as blue eyes.
- all previous findings after it is hereditary (twin studies and other research note), sometimes over two generations.
- About 15 to 20%, so every 5th up every 6 Man, us on Street encounters, is highly sensitive. The vast majority know nothing of it, however.
- Contrary to popular, less sophisticated views are affected men as often as women. Unfortunately, men rarely accept their assessment of themselves and are open to, because our image of society is still very much influenced by traditional role models.
research on
(Summary from the books "faint of heart" and "Sensitive competent")
The term "highly sensitive person" (aka "HSP") was established by psychologist Elaine Aron in her customer "The Highly Sensitive Person: How to Thrive When the World overwhelms you "marked.
Already Ivan Pavlov, a Russian physiologist of the last century, dealt inter alia with human sensitivity. In the search for objective" measurability "of the sensitivity found Pavlov, that there is a prominent point at which a man with hyperstimulation closes down. Pavlov stopped its subjects extreme noise. exceeded the decibel a certain level, people go against their will in a protective position, with further increase in the volume they will eventually unconscious. It was expected that it are people that can withstand more, and others who stand less. What Pavlov surprised, however, was that there are two distinct sensitivity of distinct groups of people.
15 to 20% reached the salient point of over-stimulation very quickly - but then nothing came long before finally began to less sensitive by degrees, by the noise to be unconscious.
That is, there is no sensitivity in the smooth transition between the people, only these two distinctly separate groups, within which there is then not again until smoother differences. Pavlov also found on this test, a number of similarities with the people of the more sensitive group. He was convinced that this plant for the sensitivity is hereditary.
Other research in recent times, strongly indicating:
Jerome Kagan, a psychologist at Harvard University, found that highly sensitive infants showed significantly higher heart rates, their pupils widened earlier under stress and their vocal cords are more stressed. Their body fluids showed high concentrations of norepinephrine in the brain. This neurotransmitter is produced in the body of all people in small amounts, if adrenaline, the stress hormone, is produced. It wakes up the brain and prepare it for upcoming thought processes.
in the blood of highly sensitive people are often in much larger amounts of noradrenaline available than in non-highly sensitive. That is, they tend to wait constantly mentally for their assignment.
also the hormone cortisol, which is released under constant agitation, was with the Kagan of HSCs examined more present than in the non-high-sensitivity parallel-group. Even in a quiet situation, such as at home, the detectable amount of cortisol in the HSP was always higher. This confirmed the theory of Kagan Pavlov, that these differences are already noticeable at birth.
high sensitivity is not the result of a particularly serious or sheltered childhood, or the like, but in almost all cases, already present from birth.
amazing, too: even when various higher mammals was a subpopulation of highly sensitive individuals of about 15 - 20% were identified. There are individuals who decided to throw not just in new situations, but only pause to grasp the situation closely. Sometimes this will be fatal, as when they are aggressive enough where it would be necessary. In other situations, however, they have advantages because they are not so easily put themselves in danger and other members of their pack can warn of impending dangers. It can therefore be assumed that it is favorable for the survival of many species, if there is a mixture of highly sensitive and highly sensitive representatives There.
If the high sensitivity that is only a disadvantage, they probably would have been exterminated long ago by evolution, because in the course of only the most adaptable species to survive.
When you think of the concept of "adapting", HSPs appear superficially not very suitable, since with the apparent "little things" often have problems.
On closer examination, however, detailed the history of mankind, you will notice that exactly this "non-adjusting," the "different thinking", the "Constant-questioning," the "other-way Must-Go" often highly sensitive to changes in practices and the discoveries and inventions led secured the survival of our species and allowed profound advances.
And often, it was just even little things, accurate observations, the crucial twists brought about. These and other strengths to recognize, use and find a new self-confidence, responsibility of the high sensitivity of our day.
similarities of highly sensitive
The following list contains many possible (but not all) common to the group of highly sensitive people, however this does not mean that all the points apply to everyone. The individual sensitivities, abilities and characteristics the highly sensitive are widely held and based in different areas.
However, there are key characteristics that indicate a high sensitivity. Both positive and negative.
meeting many of these points more or less, or a few of them are particularly strong is to be a high probability, highly sensitive. If you want to know more, the test makes zartbesaitet.net on.
- The most important of all properties that combines all the highly sensitive, is: An increased sensitivity to stimuli and a more intense feeling and experiencing. The increased susceptibility to external (eg sounds, smells, etc.) and internal Stimuli (eg, ideas, thoughts, memories) results in highly sensitive exercise more general information. They also process these much deeper and more thorough than not highly sensitive people.
But because they perceive more and more to come, these people even more quickly to the point where they want to break into a "charming poorer 'environment, ie a kind of" over-stimulation.
It occurs also with non-highly sensitive people at some time, eg when a night at the disco, after which they look forward to a quiet environment. But if we take a highly sensitive, the increased susceptibility of loud noises including, is He has much more to come this point, and probably go even earlier. But noise is, as already mentioned, only one of many examples.
given a personal experience:
When I first read about this fundamental property, it sounded to me very strange at first, and I was not absolutely sure if this really applies to me.
"more information to be incorporated" as others, I could hardly imagine, then, I thought to myself - then I would have to remember so clearly. Maybe I would have to be as remember more things that happened during the day, as someone who experienced the same with me added. But this is not meant. This "record" that "increased susceptibility" - they usually happen unconsciously
The breaking point at the thing. This in turn means the highly sensitive does not realize that it takes more and different experiences than others.
And since you was a different person and has never looked out of other eyes on the world out, one also has no direct comparison with a normal-Sensitive. We highly sensitive so go automatically assume all take things that we take so intense and detailed, equally true. But the perception is very individual, even with highly sensitive to each other.
However, there are other concrete properties, which occur frequently in high-Sensitive much as the show that followed.
Other properties of high sensitivity:
- Strong subtle (inner) perception: A rich and complex inner life. Strong imagination and intellectual worlds. Intense dream events. Endless nuances of their own moods.
- the tendency to above-average intelligence and / or creativity and / or analysis and differentiation ability.
- Increased sensitivity to pain.
- note of details: Highly sensitive have a very good eye for detail. You notice things that others often miss. That require a detailed, careful work, are they are usually better than non-HSPs.
- vs. speed. Accuracy: As it goes with many things in our society rather than speed to well-considered action, HSPs are thus often unable to cope so well. Also they weigh decisions usually good, taking into account the possible consequences.
- Stress and pressure to perform: to bring pressure sensitive people is usually not the power to which they were actually capable. Are you under constant stress, suffering - as general information for most people - even including their performance.
- vulnerability to stress disorders: As you can imagine are HSPs - for standing "hyperstimulation" - so unfortunately, more vulnerable to stress conditions such as cancer to 'burn-out. "
- sensitivity to art, music and / or natural scenes: 92% of the highly sensitive feel strongly moved by these things. Some become interested and gifted in these areas, therefore, their sensitivity to a successful career.
- Versatile interests and high enthusiasm: So many interesting things that need to learn and so little time. Many HSPs are naturally curious and interested. Subjects such as history, philosophy, but also the logic of mathematics and natural sciences, or the creative world of the arts, etc. pp. - HSPs are open to many things and stay informed. A high level of general knowledge is therefore not uncommon for them to be found. If
inspired highly sensitive for something, be it a specific hobby, a profession or just a special experience - it is their enthusiasm actually very large, and usually subsides not so fast. Often they are as obsessed and forget the world around them.
- Fine perception of feelings, moods and Relationship Quality: The body and psycho-emotional state of others, or the current quality of their relationships are a talented in that capacity HSP often detected before the persons concerned are in the self-confidence.
- Good empathy: The ability to put yourself in many different moods and feelings and their intensity makes many highly sensitive to sympathetic listeners and differentiated counterparts. For these HSPs in-depth interviews are often an important and fulfilling life. But also lurking here - as elsewhere - the risk of over-stimulation, because information is recorded accurately and processed more intensively.
- Strong influence of the mood of other people: Through this very sensitivity, however, many HSPs of the moods of other people affected. Works as a colleague in the same room, who gets upset about something, feel so many sensitive people soon a similar feeling. It "reflects" more or less automatically.
- A strong intuition unconsciously absorb details and to relate this happens automatically in many highly sensitive. The "gut feeling" is often decisive for them, without changing the linear thinking and the senses are tried in a conscious way.
- "echo" of emotions and experiences: Some experiences and influence the feelings HSPs often for hours, days or even weeks afterwards. They are circling in their thoughts and memories, and sometimes they also feel the same emotions, as if the experience is still present.
- Depth of reflection, thinking, and grow aware of: HSPs think about almost anything and they mostly reflect very well on her own inner life.
- thinking in a larger context: Beware of all experienced high-sensitive before deceptively simple way of thinking and patterns of explanation. Generalizations and stereotypes they therefore do as often with good reason. Its system of "drawers" that each man still needs to assess people and situations correctly, but is then - in extreme cases - as varied and complex that it does not necessarily helps to see "more clearly".
- compassion and altruism: to help every person who needs help, is impossible, and yet there are so few HSPs who harbor this desire for life. Many therefore also take a helping profession, such as in health care. In our time, however, many despair of the mass transit that exists now in this area.
- sensitivity to temperature and air quality: a narrower comfort zone in terms of heat or cold, that is, it is them faster too hot or too cold. Stifling summer or icy winters are so hard to bear for temperature-sensitive HSPs.
too smoky or smelly air, smells, the other hardly notice or underlying can mean stress. Regularly to air for some reason is a must.
- sense of justice and harmony means test: Many high-Sensitive hate discord and strife, as manifest injustice. They do what they can to prevent these issues and to counteract them. Some prefer to conflicts over the sake of harmony back even better.
- Conscientiousness: Is convinced a HSP from a project, task, or goal, it is usually very strongly behind it. He would never knowingly contribute to a hazard which, if it could not agree with his conscience. Also in terms of people he respected, he shows great loyalty.
- perfectionism and error sensitivity: Some HSPs are real perfectionists, they try at all costs, avoid errors. They, too, are faults of other more, which is why they are often feared as "pedantic". Before something is only half, or can not implement "good enough" in reality, they would rather have it stay the same throughout.
- Irregular personality & image Geschlechtsstereotypien less pronounced: the personalities of many High sensitivity is not linear and too easy to pigeonhole. They often combine almost contrasting in itself. Whether the same time sensitive and bold, anxious but horror fan, or optimistic and on the other Page full of world-weariness - a complex personality can often be difficult to ascertain. Also "Geschlechtsstereotypien" such as men and football, women & romance tearjerker, etc. to be less sensitive applications. But they are by that fact, however, varied and interesting people.
- Strong reactions to drugs, alcohol and / or caffeine: For some HSPs, the usual dosage of medication too high because they are very sensitive to it. Sometimes they tolerate it well or not fight frequently with adverse effects. In this case, it is advisable to test a drug only for compatibility, or a lower Dose than usual to take. Also, alcohol and caffeine affect reinforced on some one.
- feelings of connectedness, "invest" HSPs often much in their relationship with their environment, and some people feel strong feelings of connection, such as a good friendship. Unfortunately, many feel as if their feelings are not reciprocated in this way, as if the Other the Friendship is not so important, and did not know they appreciate so much. In fact it is so that everyone has a different idea of friendship - from relatively superficial chatter in the café around the corner to a narrow foundation of trust on which we share many things. To to find really good friends who share this feeling connection, it requires a long search, so often - that these compounds hold the most part but also very long. Even in relations, HSPs do mostly close proximity and strong confidence on both sides.
- increased tendency to allergies.
- introversion / extraversion: According to polls, about 70% of all describe themselves as introverted, highly sensitive, but also as much as 30% extroverted. So there is also a share HSPs, which are very actively approach people and energetic and determined occur.
though you should take into account that extreme forms of intro or extraversion generally rare are also found here are mostly mixed forms.
to introversion following to say: Many are automatically considered highly sensitive, so here, because they observe in social groups tend to act as or to stand in the center. Introversion is however not necessarily shy. Hitting as the same HSP, occurring in a particular group or situation rather reserved, at a different (perhaps less stimulating) the place, in other circumstances, or only a couple, it can seem like a different person, as alleged by the shyness is then often difficult to feel anything. Here is the difference of true shyness.
- unreflective close to Others: Since do not know most of the HSPs that there are two mutually relatively clearly separate sensory groups, they conclude, despite - or perhaps because of - their good self-reflection just like any other, and they appreciate the fact perhaps incorrectly.
This mechanism is also by far not only in high-sensitivity, but here it is based on the grounds that a highly sensitive so it must assume that all people are predisposed similar in sensitivity. The apparently deliberate "hurtful" behavior of a friend, the hours of "loud" music from the secondary residence, etc. pp. - An inexperienced HSP can not know that other people do not mind these things, or that they expect of each other, without giving any thought or notice them.
Only when he knows that the majority is indeed the case, he will understand that he has drawn some wrong conclusions, because another human being in this respect just really "different". Misunderstandings are therefore virtually inevitable, and therefore practice is tolerance - for HSPs and for non-HSPs - not easy. But we all are - and not just in the sensitivity - on different "levels", influenced by genes, upbringing and the social environment, we perceive the world with completely different eyes and Feelings true, as recent research shows more and more. Tolerance and an open, constructive communication all the more necessary to gain a more positive social structure. "Expect"
dealing with the high sensitivity
known as Highly sensitive Since it can not, that the world is on your own needs adjusting and is considerate of things that the 80 - account for 85% of normal-Sensitive nothing can you still try to reduce by a good use of his disposition associated loads as much as possible.
is also desirable to be able to use enjoy the many positive aspects of high sensitivity and private and / or professionally.
order to achieve this is often much needed strength and distinctive personality development, but - so at least I think - necessary for every person more or less, to achieve personal goals in life. In this highly sensitive, security designed in part just different. For example, to not be exposed to constant over-stimulation, one must first know what things cause excessive stress, only then can you find a solution.
Some High Sensitive help handle such practices as meditation or yoga, the recorded information of the day can be. The various arts, religion, Spirituality, sports, hobbies and crafts for many, an important purpose in life and an important balance.
It also helps the most sensitive people to learn in the first place, that their investment is entirely natural, and they are not alone by far. It is therefore very important to make the topic in the public press.
profession / vocation / life
some hobbies or activities can also be made to the profession, but this is not easy, is generally more difficult as the way to appeal (as opposed to professional) for an HSP. Many of them are only at an advanced age, the activity they met after they have for years, "forced labor" made in areas on which they are not, and where they see no real meaning, except of course for the making money and to make ends meet.
can now call the critics "This is a lot of people like that! The can not change," and he has probably absolutely right about that. Not only in our time of mass unemployment, especially in earlier times it was often simply to survive, and it had to be always worked hard, without regard to real interests and talents. However, it is highly sensitive for many - hard to bear in the long run - as generally for some people her true calling can not live. His dreams never give up and in small steps out to work is therefore often the only way to find his professional "luck".
is similar trend in private life, because some HSPs find their partner for life until very late - if at all. Continuous development and painful experiences are often required until a relationship is formed, which will last a lifetime. But that sure is a lot of people look familiar, with highly sensitive, it only occurs frequently and results from some other reason.
book tips
In the books "faint-hearted" and "Sensitive competent" There are many more tips on dealing with high sensitivity. ("Faint of heart," describes the issue in broad terms "competent Sensitive" in the focus is mainly on the profession.)

But that sure is a lot of people look familiar, with highly sensitive, it only occurs frequently and results from some other reason.

high sensibility (including hyper sensibility or sensitivity) is a U.S. psychologist Elaine Aron 1997 postulated psychic phenomenon, more responsive to the affected population than the average to stimuli. The best-known features are over-stimulation and sensory overload. An estimated 15-20% of all people are affected. The psychological consultant Claudia C. Gries is the phenomenon of "high sensitivity" to the bottom.

High sensitivity - what is it?
Our brain receives sensory perceptions and processes it. Highly sensitive response to such stimuli faster than the population average. The over-stimulation is explained as a higher sensitivity by a special constitution of the stimulus-processing neural systems (Sensory Processing Sensitivity). Thus, HSP stimulation levels perceive not notice the other person. This refers to fine differences in sound, visual images, bodily sensations, even to pain. The sense of HSP are not "better" than with a pronounced non-HSP, it is rather in information processing. HSP also think about the past and more to come, often the 6th Sense, a very good intuition, are sensitive to stimulants (caffeine, medications, etc.).
Highly sensitive people are different in different types and can have many manifestations, as they can reticent, quiet and be content with a simple life, or they are inquisitive, fearless and very cosmopolitan. Any sensation can be perceived by them stronger and more detailed.

react like other people on HSP?
"You have difficulty processing stimuli," is a typical sentence, be placed in the drawer with the HSP, the shape and believe they can, that they are not normal. Even phrases like "With you, what is true not, "Stand at not so", "Do not be frightened" are common.
Unfortunately, even in psychological research, a bias against HSP, for there they are less happy, mentally impaired and uncreative held. In addition, they are often self-conceit, arrogance, laziness, incompetence and other character defects assumed. This is because that is equated in our society, high sensitivity with less stress. Deliberation and mood swings as "not normal" and felt generally associated with weak and inefficient.
In Japan, Sweden and China, for example HSP are valued much more because there is sensitivity than ability.

How can I promote myself as HSP itself?

find a new way: How does my sensitive body and my psyche? What is my new way? With the acceptance of my abilities and their capabilities can I concentrated, pressure-free and valuable life-organize my new me and create a more suitable environment.
